The Executive Den"A garden office to double as a summer living space- An ideal addition to a busy home." We were asked to design this large garden building for a busy executive who wanted a home office which could also double as a guest room. Our client also wanted a gas stove, a built in desk, a bespoke built in day bed which pulls out into a double, storage space and a toilet with a separate entrance, all topped off with our classic curved corrugated steel roof, inspired by our luxury Shepherds Huts.
We were able to build this Timberpad within 2 metres of the boundary but still keep a lofty and spacious ceiling- We managed this by using our signature curved roof which kept the overall height under 2.5 metres. This classed the building as Permitted Development! The interior includes a treated timber floor, a dado rail panelling finish and a vaulted curved ceiling. It includes extra windows, a stove heater with a flame-proof back wall and extra windows for natural light. This space can be built in a range of sizes and styles, from alternative finishes, different doors and windows, or a tiled pitched roof! Customer Review
"We are really delighted with our new garden office...but it is much more than that!
We loved the look of a shepherd’s hut when we first saw one but knew it wouldn’t fulfil all our needs. Craig was excellent at accommodating all our requirements and coming up with a bespoke design that was functional and looked attractive. We now have a spacious office/den/spare bedroom/ garden room plus a toilet and sink.
From start to finish, Craig and the guys at Timberpad offered fantastic service. The build took five and a half weeks through the end of October into November and there was no downtime during the build as if they couldn’t work on site due to the weather they would carry the work out in their workshop and bring the finished elements back when ready to fit. The craftsmanship and perfecting of high standards was really refreshing and it was a pleasure to have all the guys working on site.
The quality of the finished build is first class backed up with the security that if we have any problem, however large or small Timberpad will be there for us to resolve it. The customer service has been great and we would not hesitate to recommend the Company for their professionalism.
